In a major political development ahead of the Bihar elections, AIMIM has announced it will contest as an independent third front, refusing to ally with either the NDA or the INDIA bloc. Party chief Asaduddin Owaisi confirmed that AIMIM will field its own candidates across select constituencies after being denied seat-sharing talks with the Mahagathbandhan. The two-phase Bihar elections are scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14. The move sets the stage for a multi-cornered contest in the state.
