Veteran politician and former Union minister Suresh Kalmadi has passed away in Pune after a prolonged illness. Known for his extensive involvement in sports administration, including his tenure as IOA president, Kalmadi’s career was marked by both significant contributions and controversy surrounding the 2010 Commonwealth Games. His mortal remains will be available for public viewing before cremation.
