An Indian-origin restaurateur, owner of Michelin-starred Benares, has been convicted of drugging a woman’s cocktail at Annabel’s with intent to overpower her for sex. Staff intervened, preventing her from drinking the spiked ‘Spicy Margarita’ laced with GBL. Police found GBL traces in a vanilla extract bottle and at his home.
