Sathyanathan breaks national record, wins gold at NCAA Indoor C’ships

Indian long jumper Lokesh Sathyanathan won gold at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas with an 8.21m leap, setting a new Indian indoor record. The Tarleton State University athlete finished ahead of De’Aundre Ward and Tafadzwa Chikomba. Lokesh dedicated the milestone to his late mother, who died from COVID-19 in 2021.
