Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the Lok Sabha that the government is actively managing energy security amid disruptions caused by the Middle East conflict. He noted that critical imports like crude oil, gas, and fertilisers pass through the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping has become challenging after the conflict. Despite this, the government has ensured that supplies of petrol, diesel, and gas remain stable, minimising the impact on citizens.
