Unlike the pristine white walls of many art galleries and the silence within, art displayed inside a home offers a different feel. An old 5,000 sq ft house tucked inside a green avenue in DLF Phase I, Gurugram, has been refurbished to lend itself as a home gallery.
Earlier this week, the space was formally launched as The Art Hub with an exhibition of 100 works by 35 master and contemporary artists aesthetically displayed across rooms, hallways, staircases, terraces, and lawns. Melodic jazz plays in the background and every part of the house reverberates with art lovers and walk-in guests peering into the exhibits while curator Gauri Minocha leads them up the fluid spatial narrative.
