The most active volcano in the Philippines began to rumble again on Saturday. The Mayon Volcano in the northeastern province of Albay spewed a cloud of ash and debris sky high. At the same time, authorities detected pyroclastic currents or flows — fast-moving avalanches of super-hot rock fragments, ash and gas. The eruption caused heavy ash fall, blanketing parts of Albay and darkening the sky in several areas.
