‘Cyclone Shakhti’: IMD issues warning for Maha, Guj fishermen; heavy rain expected on Oct 8-9

Severe cyclonic storm Shakhti, formed off the Gujarat coast, moved westwards on Saturday, projected to curve east-northeastwards and weaken by October 6, 2025. Fishermen are advised against venturing into the northwest Arabian Sea. Concurrently, parts of Gujarat, including Dwarka and Ambaji, experienced rainfall, with Ahmedabad expecting light showers.
