Shares of DLF declined 2% to Rs 649 on the BSE on Tuesday after the real estate major reported a muted quarterly performance in the April-June period of FY27, with brokerages retaining their ‘Buy’ calls as they expect the launch momentum to begin from the ongoing Q2 onwards.

DLF on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 794 crore for the first quarter of FY27, marking only 4% year-on-year growth from the Rs 763 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile tumbled 53% YoY to Rs 1,280 crore in Q1 of the ongoing FY27, from Rs 2,717 crore reported in the same period last year.

The realty major said that its new sales bookings for Q1 stood at Rs 657 crore, reflecting the timing impact of deferred launches. “We remain well positioned to bring our upcoming products to the market and expect the requisite approvals to be received soon for the planned launches. With sustained customer demand, strong brand positioning, deep market presence and a defined launch pipeline, we remain confident of achieving our stated medium-term growth goals,” it added.

Nomura on DLF share price

Nomura said Q1 marked a ‘non-event’ quarter for DLF, but launch momentum is expected to begin from Q2 onwards. Overall, the quarterly performance missed estimates, as high-margin projects would be recognized from Q2 FY28 only, and there was no launch in the quarter.

The international brokerage highlighted that the stock trades at a 3% discount to its residential NAV. It maintained its ‘Buy’ call on the stock with a target price of Rs 740 apiece, implying an upside potential of nearly 11% from the stock’s previous closing price.
