FIIs raise stakes in 8 smallcap stocks in Q2; shares surge over 200% in FY27 so far

Changes in foreign institutional investor (FII) shareholding often draw market attention, as these investors typically conduct extensive research before making investment decisions. Around 690 smallcap companies have reported their shareholding patterns for the September 2026 quarter so far. Of these, FIIs increased their stakes in 302 stocks, accounting for nearly half of the companies that have disclosed their latest shareholding data.Interestingly, around 109 of these stocks have surged 50% to 343% in FY27 so far, while 37 have turned multibaggers. From this list, we highlight eight stocks that have rallied over 200% during the period and witnessed an increase in FII shareholding in the September 2026 quarter compared with the June 2026 quarter. Kabra Extrusiontechnik

Kabra Extrusiontechnik shares have surged 343% in FY27 so far, climbing from Rs 183 to Rs 809. FIIs increased their stake in the company to 1.61% in the September 2026 quarter from 0.36% in the June 2026 quarter.

Modison

Modison shares have rallied 333% in FY27 so far, rising from Rs 116 to Rs 503. FIIs raised their stake in the company to 1.27% in the September 2026 quarter from 0.92% in the June 2026 quarter.

HFCL

HFCL shares have jumped 277% in FY27 so far, advancing from Rs 68 to Rs 256. FIIs increased their stake in the company to 17.24% in the September 2026 quarter from 15.74% in the June 2026 quarter.

Morepen Laboratories

Morepen Laboratories shares have gained 266% in FY27 so far, rising from Rs 34 to Rs 124. FIIs raised their stake in the company to 3.43% in the September 2026 quarter from 1.46% in the June 2026 quarter.

Birla Cable

Birla Cable shares have rallied 232% in FY27 so far, climbing from Rs 104 to Rs 346. FIIs increased their stake in the company to 0.87% in the September 2026 quarter from 0.02% in the June 2026 quarter.

Cyient DLM

Cyient DLM shares have surged 231% in FY27 so far, moving up from Rs 272 to Rs 901. FIIs raised their stake in the company to 2.43% in the September 2026 quarter from 0.24% in the June 2026 quarter.

Bodal Chemicals

Bodal Chemicals shares have advanced 222% in FY27 so far, rising from Rs 51 to Rs 165. FIIs increased their stake in the company to 1.79% in the September 2026 quarter from 0.02% in the June 2026 quarter.

Diamond Power Infrastructure

Diamond Power Infrastructure shares have climbed 203% in FY27 so far, gaining from Rs 119 to Rs 362. FIIs raised their stake in the company to 4.14% in the September 2026 quarter from 1.77% in the June 2026 quarter.
