Reacting to the BMC polls discourse, NCP’s Sana Malik questioned political parties that have ruled Mumbai in different alliances over the years, including the BJP and its allies, over their track record in civic governance. She said Mumbai residents continue to face flooding during monsoons, disruptions in local trains, and difficulties accessing metro stations, affecting education and livelihoods. Malik also challenged parties over their claims of representing “Marathi manoos,” asking how many tickets were given to migrants and seeking clarity on who qualifies as Marathi.
