The image of Jesus Christ in a Vatican City-themed Durga Puja pandal in Ranchi was replaced with Lord Krishna’s following objections from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The VHP alleged the original display hurt Hindu sentiments and encouraged conversion. Organizers stated the decision was made by committee members to promote religious harmony, not due to protests.
