Ludhiana firing linked to California gangster; 2 held, Rs 50 lakh extortion call probed

Ludhiana rural police have apprehended two sharpshooters involved in the firing at a hardware store owner in Rumi near Jagraon. Investigations suggest the involvement of Pavittar Singh Batala, a California-based gangster with alleged ties to Babbar Khalsa International, who is also wanted by the NIA and was recently arrested by the FBI.
