New Year’s Eve celebrations across India may face major disruptions as gig workers from platforms including Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon and Flipkart go on a nationwide strike today. As one of the busiest delivery days of the year, the strike is expected to cause delays and cancellations, impacting food orders, grocery deliveries and last-minute shopping in major cities and several tier-2 markets.
