RSS has sought permission to hold a march in Kalaburagi’s Chittapur, Priyank Kharge’s constituency, on October 19. The police are still reviewing the request.
Ahead of the proposed RSS march, officials removed saffron flags and banners put up across the town, citing lack of permission. The RSS, however, claims it has already applied for police approval and paid ₹6,000 as advertisement tax to the municipality for putting up the banners and flags.
The incident is likely to further intensify the ongoing RSS row in Karnataka.
