After 24 years on the run, Ajay Lamba, also known as Banshi, was apprehended near India Gate in connection with a series of taxi murders committed between 1999 and 2001. Lamba had evaded authorities by assuming a new identity, residing in Nepal for a decade, and engaging in less serious offenses like drug-peddling.
