Sonam Wangchuk arrested under NSA, mobile internet blocked in Leh

Ladakh Police arrested activist Sonam Wangchuk on Friday under NSA charges. This action followed violent clashes in Leh where four protesters died. Mobile internet was suspended as a precautionary measure. Wangchuk had ended his hunger strike for Sixth Schedule protection and statehood. His FCRA license was revoked earlier. Ladakhi organizations planned further talks with the MHA committee.
