In Madhya Pradesh’s Katni district, a Dalit youth was allegedly assaulted and subjected to casteist abuse by four men, including the village sarpanch’s son, after he opposed illegal mining near his farm. The victim claims he was urinated on and threatened. Police have registered a case under the SC/ST Act, and the accused are currently absconding.
