Speaking to NDTV, Twisha Sharma’s cousin Ashish said the family is continuing its legal fight for a second post-mortem, alleging serious lapses in the investigation into her death. While authorities informed the family that the body is decomposing and preservation facilities are limited, Ashish said they are refusing to give up and are demanding that the body be preserved until a decision is taken on a fresh autopsy. He questioned the integrity of the investigation process and argued that crucial forensic examinations require the body to remain intact. The family has approached multiple authorities and the court, seeking a second post-mortem outside Madhya Pradesh.
