According to the complaint filed at Kotkapura City police station on July 19, 2021, businessman Sumit Kumar, who runs a women's clothing shop in Shastri Market, received a call on July 18, 2021. This call came from the number +12048185156 on WhatsApp. The caller identified himself as Goldy Brar. The caller told the cloth merchant that he has good relations with Kala Jathedi, Lawrence and other gangsters. After this, he demanded Rs 50 lakh from the businessman. He threatened the businessman that if he did not give the money, his entire family would be killed. The businessman had said that this call came to him in the evening. After this, he received several calls and messages. He was saying that he has many connections in India. He won't come himself to collect the money. When the money is ready, he will send his man. After the case was registered, gangster Lawrence was arrested in this case on August 10, 2022. He was brought to Punjab at that time in connection with a case. Then Faridkot police arrested Lawrence in this matter and presented him in Faridkot court. However, although he later appeared in court through video conferencing, the court did not find evidence of Lawrence's involvement in this case. Lawrence was born on February 12, 1993, in village Datrawali of Fazilka district in Punjab. His father was a police constable. In police records, Lawrence's name is Satwinder Singh. After completing his 12th from Abohar, Lawrence went to Chandigarh. Here he took admission in DAV College.
