Punjab has received an investment of Rs 88.14 crore under the Mission Investment initiative. Many well-known companies have shown interest in setting up businesses in the state. This was revealed by Punjab’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Tarunpreet Singh Sound. Investment and employment Sound mentioned that several large industries are establishing their units in Punjab. Numerous national and international investors are eager to invest here. Since 2022, Punjab has received 5,574 investment proposals. These investments are expected to total Rs 88,014 crore, which will create jobs for about 4,01,217 people. Major Investments in Punjab Several big companies have already invested in Punjab. These include: Industry-friendly policies Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann explained that the state government has industry-friendly policies. Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs can start their businesses with an affidavit. They can complete the necessary documentation process within three years. Record number of new industries Tarunpreet Singh Sound added that the state’s "Invest Punjab" portal is the best among all 28 states in India in terms of performance. Around 58,000 new small and medium industries have registered on the portal, which is a new record for the state.
