Vicky Kaushal addressed the controversy surrounding a Lezim dance scene in his upcoming film 'Chhava' during a media interaction in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Following objections from viewers, the 20-30 second sequence was removed from the film. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Kaushal explained that the dance scene wasn't merely part of the storyline but was intended to showcase Indian culture globally. He demonstrated flexibility in his approach, stating that if audiences found the scene inappropriate, he had no issues with its removal from the final cut. According to Vicky, Sambhaji Maharaj was the king of the people and if someone requested him to play Lezim, he would accept it. However, if his followers feel that this scene was not appropriate, there is no problem in removing it. He also mentioned that the film's director and the entire team never intended to hurt anyone's feelings. The film 'Chhava' is based on the famous novel 'Chhava' by Marathi writer Shivaji Sawant.
