The Bombay High Court has granted bail to two individuals allegedly involved in conducting surveillance of Bollywood star Salman Khan's Panvel farmhouse. The suspects, identified as Waspi Mahmood Khan (alias Wasim Chikna) and Gaurav Vinod Bhatia (alias Sandeep Bishnoi), were initially arrested for allegedly conducting reconnaissance of Salman's house and planning an attack on the actor in June 2024. Justice NR Borkar's ruling cited insufficient evidence against the accused. While investigations revealed their membership in a WhatsApp group where plans to target Khan were discussed, the court found no concrete evidence of their direct involvement in plotting the attack. Among them, Ajay Kashyap had contacted a person named Dogar living in Pakistan through video call. They were planning to procure AK-47 from there to attack Salman.
