Let me be clear: The honorable court has merely summoned us as witnesses in a matter involving a third party, with which we have absolutely no direct involvement." Further, Sonu writes, our lawyers have responded to that summons and I will record my statement on February 10, in which I will clarify that I have no connection with this case. Recently, Ludhiana lawyer Rajesh Khanna had filed a complaint against businessman Mohit Shukla and his company in July 2023. The allegations are that Mohit committed fraud in the name of marketing and then refused to return the money. During the investigation, Sonu Sood's name was also linked to this case. According to reports, Sonu Sood was the brand ambassador of the accused's company. This was the reason why Sonu Sood was called to testify in the case. Reports suggested that despite repeated summons, Sonu Sood did not appear in court, which led to an arrest warrant being issued against him.
