Russia Attacks Ukrainian Airfield In Tit-For-Tat Strike; ‘Heavy Losses Reported’

Russia has launched a major strike on a Ukrainian military airfield using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and long-range precision air-based weapons, according to the Russian Defence Ministry. Drones were also reportedly deployed in the operation. While the exact location of the airfield has not been confirmed, both Russian and Ukrainian media point to the Starokonstantinov base in Ukraine’s western Khmelnytsky region. Moscow also confirmed six coordinated strikes this week targeting Ukrainian airfields, radar sites, fuel depots, and key energy infrastructure.
