After the 2nd ODI between India and England in Cuttack, the Indian opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill boosted their ratings in the recently published ICC Men's ODI batting rankings. Whilst Pakistan opener Babar Azam retained his top spot, a measly score of 10 in the tri-nation series match against new Zealand didn't help as Rohit starred with his first century in nearly a year, a stunning 119 off 90 balls, Meanwhile, Gill helped his case with a 60 off 52 balls. Gill is now only 5 points behind Babar whilst Rohit is 13 points behind the former Pakistan captain. Kohli drops by 2 spots, Iyer up by 1 4 batters featured for India in the ICC rankings top 10, as Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer joined he aforementioned duo. Kohli who didn't play the first ODI against England and got out cheaply in the second, slipped from 4th to 6th place. Ireland's Harry Tector moved up two spots to 4th. Iyer who scored a 59 and 44 in the first two ODIs, did enough to move into the top 10, replacing Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka. Siraj, Kuldeep slip in bowler rankings but remain top 10 Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav did not play the second ODI, replaced by Varun Chakaravarthy. He dropped 3 places from 2nd to 5th in the rankings. On the other hand, Mohammad Siraj was in the news for not making India's Champions trophy squad despite Jasprit Bumrah missing out due to injury. Due to a lack of activity, Siraj dropped 4 places to 10th spot. Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja was one place outside the top 10 in 11th. Jadeja does however feature as the only Indian in the top 10 of the All-rounder rankings, sneaking in at 10th spot.Original Article
