YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina are facing strong protests across the country over controversial remarks made on parents in the show ‘India’s Got Latent.’ Complaints have been filed against them in Indore and Mumbai, while they have been warned not to visit Bhopal. Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri reacted to the controversy, calling those who mock Sanatan culture "traitors." He demanded strict punishment for them and urged people not to forgive such individuals but to take a stand against them. Why is the show facing backlash? ‘India’s Got Latent’ is a stand-up comedy show hosted by Samay Raina, with over 7.3 million subscribers on YouTube. The show features bold comedy content, where contestants get 90 seconds to showcase their talent. On February 8, an episode was released on YouTube that allegedly contained objectionable remarks about parents and women. This led to nationwide outrage, with calls for action against the show. Shastri demands strict action Reacting to the issue, Dhirendra Shastri said that mocking Sanatan culture is unacceptable. He criticized Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, calling their remarks highly objectionable. "These people should not be forgiven but taught a lesson," he said, urging people to take a firm stand against them. Calls to ban the show The All Indian Cine Workers Association has also condemned ‘India’s Got Latent,’ calling it misleading for the youth. They have urged Home Minister Amit Shah to ban the show. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned Allahbadia, Raina, and others for questioning on February 17. Singer B Praak cancels podcast appearance Renowned singer B Praak has refused to appear on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast following the controversy. He stated, "I was supposed to join BeerBiceps' podcast, but I canceled it because of their degraded mindset. The language used in Samay Raina’s show does not represent Indian culture." Protests in Bhopal Hindu organizations in Bhopal have already called for action against Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. The ‘Sanskriti Bachao Manch’ warned the YouTubers against visiting Bhopal, stating that activists would not spare them. Manch president Chandrashekhar Tiwari criticized the show, saying, "Parents are considered sacred, and making such remarks against them is disgusting. Strict action must be taken against these individuals."Original Article
