A person was caught with fake media accreditation at the National Stadium in Karachi ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The man was trying to enter the main building before the tri-series final match between Pakistan and New Zealand scheduled for February 14 (Friday). A police officer said that the man's name is Muzammil Qureshi. He was stopped during security check at the entry gate. The officer said – "He was claiming to be a journalist and had fake ICC and PCB accreditations." The officer said: "When security personnel became suspicious, he showed another fake ID card which described him as a cameraman. He has been arrested. He is being interrogated at the local police station to find out where he got the fake cards made and why he was using them." 3 Champions Trophy matches are to be played at the Karachi stadium As many as three Champions Trophy matches are set to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi including the Pakistan vs New Zealand opener.
