A young woman was brutally shot in the apartment of a war hero. Police was convinced he was on the run, but when they finally found him, a shocking truth came to light. Julie's blood soaked body was found in an apartment On May 21, 2010, police responded to a father's frantic 911 call. Steve Herr alerted them that there is a woman's body lying on floor in his son Sam's apartment. On arrival, police identified the victim as Julie Kibuishi, a-23-year old college student. The blood-soaked body had two bullet marks on the head. Her pants were also torn, raising suspicion of sexual assault. During the initial investigation, police suspected that Steve's son, Sam, who was close friends with Julie, had murdered her and gone into hiding. However, on further investigation, the case took an unexpected turn. Police discovered Sam's messages Near Julie's body, investigators discovered her phone. Upon examining it, they found multiple messages and calls from Sam. In one of the messages, he had written, ''Feeling very troubled because of family. Please come home to meet me.'' Based on the message and the condition of the body, the police assumed that Sam first molested Julie and then killed her before fleeing. On investigating the matter further, there came an unexpected twist with the entry of local actor Daniel Wozniak in the case. Steve, convinced of Sam's innocence, discovered suspicious bank withdrawals and investigated. He found evidence linking Daniel to the ATM and pizza shop and shared it with the police. CCTV footage showed a 17-20-year-old, identified as Vasily, using Sam's card at the ATM. Suspecting his involvement in Julie's murder, police raided his home. However, Vasily shocked them by revealing that Daniel had given him the card to withdraw money. Daniel's confession to crime Wozniak packed a backpack with evidence, which police later found outside his parents' house. They also found that before the murders, Wozniak had searched Google for 'how to hide a body' and 'quick ways to kill people.' On December 15, 2016, the court found Daniel guilty of murder and sentenced him to death.Original Article by Dainik Bhaskar
