Maharashtra to form panel to develop Asia’s largest logistics hub in Bhiwandi

Industries Minister Uday Samant announced plans to establish a committee to develop Bhiwandi as Asia’s largest logistics hub, responding to demands from MLA Rais Shaikh. The initiative aims to address technical challenges, prevent land encroachment, and capitalize on Bhiwandi’s existing infrastructure to boost the state’s economy. Shaikh also called for an inquiry into unauthorized construction following a building collapse.
