RCB register back-to-back wins in WPL 2025:Thrash DC by 8 wickets, captain Mandhana scores 81 after Renuka’s 3/23

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 8 wickets in fourth match of Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Monday (February 17). The result meant back-to-back wins for the defending champions who now remain the only unbeaten team in the third edition of the competition. Captain Smriti Mandhana was the star of the match for Bengaluru, scoring 81 off 47 deliveries allowing the team to make easy work of the run chase. Clinicial performance with the ball for RCB After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, RCB managed to keep the last-year's runners-up down to 141, bowling them out in 19.3 overs. Renuka Singh finished as the best bowler for RCB as she finished with 3/23 off her four overs. Georgia Wareham also impressed with the ball, scalping 3 wickets for 25 runs in her four overs. Ekta Bisht and Kim Garth picked up 2 wickets apiece. Jemimah Rodrigues top-scores for DC For DC, it was Jemimah Rodrigues who top-scored with the bat, scoring 34 off 22. However, it would not be a batting performance that Delhi would be proud of, especially considering they were not even able to play out their quota of 20 overs. 107-run opening stand for RCB The 107-run opening stand between Mandhana and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge set the tone for the chase. The English batter became the first RCB batter to fall, getting out for 42 off 33 with Arundhati Reddy getting her wicket. Later, Mandhana fell in the 16th over with Shikha Pandey getting rid of her but only after she had taken her team on the verge of a win.Original Article
