The Supreme Court heard a plea by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia to club multiple FIRs filed across various states, including Maharashtra and Assam, over his controversial remark on parents intimacy made on comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’. Arguments in the court The bench asked Allahabadia's lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud- What kind of language are you defending? I hate such statements. The question here is whether such a comment is a crime. If this is not obscenity, then what is obscenity? Justice Suryakant said, "They have something very dirty in their mind, which they are spewing in the program, they are disrespecting parents. Why should the court defend Allahabadia?"
