In Faridkot, Punjab, a private bus broke through the railing and fell into a drain after colliding with a truck. The accident resulted in the death of 5 people and 30 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot for treatment. Among the injured, 2 people have lost their hands. Eyewitness Shamsher Singh said that he was returning home after paying respects at Baba Rode Shah's shrine. The bus was full of passengers. Due to the speed and fog, the bus driver did not see the truck coming from the front. After this, the bus collided directly with the truck. After the collision, the bus became unbalanced and broke through the bridge railing, falling into the drain. As soon as the bus fell, there was chaos. People started shouting for help. According to the administration, the deceased include Simran, a teacher from Muktsar, Atmaram from village Shere Wale, and former sarpanch Balraj Singh and Kaur Singh from village Chibdawali. Meanwhile, the whereabouts of a 65-year-old elderly person are still unknown.
