Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy:’Chandler’s’ documentary to delve into his tragic death, will highlight public perception of Perry’s sobriety

Peacock is set to release "Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy," a documentary investigating the Friends star's death and subsequent criminal investigation. The film explores Perry's unexpected passing in October 2023, which was caused by acute ketamine toxicity. The documentary's trailer begins with a 911 drowning call and features interviews with Morgan Fairchild, Perry's on-screen mother from Friends, and U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada. While Fairchild reflects on Perry's impact, Estrada reveals that of the five charged individuals, three have pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate, while two await trial. Initially, when Perry was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home's hot tub, authorities reported no foul play. However, the December autopsy report revealing ketamine in his system changed the investigation's direction. The documentary highlights how this discovery contradicted public perception of Perry's sobriety. The five defendants include two medical professionals, Perry's assistant, an intermediary, and a North Hollywood drug dealer known as the "Ketamine Queen." The remaining two defendants – a doctor and the alleged dealer – are scheduled for trial on March 4, 2025.Original Article by Dainik Bhaskar
