Ahead of the India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy 2025 clash, the Indian anthem was played in Pakistan, during Australia's match against England. PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi has directed the blame towards ICC when quizzed about the goof-up. Even though the Indian team is not playing in Pakistan, the Indian anthem was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Indian anthem echoed for a while before it was paused and the Australian anthem was played. This happened in a few moments but fans noticed the same and started sharing clips of the same on social media. "ICC is organising the tournament," replied Naqvi. He continued, "From our side, we have released 22 Indian fishermen today," he added. According to media reports, Pakistani authorities have released 22 Indian fishermen from Karachi's Malir Jail. PCB demands explanation from ICC According to a report in PTI, the PCB authorities have written to ICC to seek an explanation regarding the whole situation. "The PCB has made it clear that the ICC needs to offer some explanation as their people are responsible for the (national anthem) playlist of teams in the Champions Trophy. Since India is not playing in Pakistan, it is hard to understand how their anthem was played by mistake from the playlist," the source was quoted as saying by PTI. The PCB had earlier also written to the ICC about its name logo not being displayed on television screens when India played Bangladesh in Dubai on Friday. Earlier, there was also the saga where the Indian flag was missing from Pakistan stadiums before the Champions Trophy got underway. Later the tri-colour was hoisted on Pakistani soil, but all of the aforementioned drama certainly adds to the anticipation ahead of the riveting rivalry which will unfold in Dubai on 23 February.Original Article
