The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) of Punjab Police in Mohali has arrested two important members of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The arrest was made in a well-planned intelligence operation. Both accused were in direct contact with Harvinder Singh Rinda, a Pakistan-based BKI terrorist, and Happy Passia, who is based in the US. With this operation, Punjab Police has successfully disrupted a cross-border terrorist network. During questioning, the accused admitted to killing one person and seriously injuring another in Nanded, Maharashtra, on 10 February 2025. They carried out this attack on Rinda’s orders. Plan for target killings in Punjab The accused also revealed that they had plans to carry out targeted killings in Punjab. This was part of a larger terrorist plot. NIA announces cash reward The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a cash reward for information about Happy Passia.
