At the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China is willing to work with India to handle conflicts properly and build long-term cooperation. In his talks with External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar, both leaders stressed the need for trust, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. Jaishankar noted that ties have improved since the Modi-Xi summit in Kazan in 2024, aided by recent progress on resolving border issues.
