Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly praised the success of Operation Spiderweb, the bold 117-drone strike on five major Russian airbases. Mocking the Kremlin, Zelensky revealed the operational HQ was set up “right next to an FSB office”, calling the mission an “absolutely brilliant result.” Conducted over 18 months of planning, the operation reportedly hit 41 strategic bombers and even an A-50 radar aircraft, affecting about 34% of Russia’s cruise missile launch capability. Ukraine’s SBU claims all operators were extracted safely from inside Russia across three time zones.
