The Israeli military confirmed on August 2 that its soldiers carried out raids in southern Syria overnight. The Israeli soldiers questioned several suspected arms dealers and seized weapons. Troops of the 226th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade and field interrogators of the Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 took part in the operation.
