Russia has officially dropped all restrictions on short- and medium-range missile deployments, ending its moratorium from the INF Treaty era. The Kremlin blamed the United States and NATO for destabilising the global strategic balance. Moscow can now deploy ground-launched missiles ranging between 500 and 5,500 kilometres. This major escalation comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed he had moved two American nuclear submarines closer to Russian waters.
