Russia has officially dropped all restrictions on short- and medium-range missile deployments, ending its moratorium from the INF Treaty era. The Kremlin blamed the United States and NATO for destabilising the global strategic balance. Moscow can now deploy ground-launched missiles ranging between 500 and 5,500 kilometres.
