Bengaluru overtakes Mumbai in urban leopard population; study finds 85 big cats in surrounding forest zones

Bengaluru has surpassed Mumbai to become the metropolis with the highest leopard population, boasting around 85 of the big cats on its outskirts. A year-long study using camera traps revealed their presence across various habitats, including Bannerghatta National Park, which houses 54 leopards.
