Mumbai Police are deploying AI technology for the first time during Ganpati Visarjan to manage crowds and monitor processions. An AI-based control room will track real-time movement of idols using QR codes and detect potential disruptions. Drones, 10,000 CCTV cameras, and 25,000 police personnel will enhance surveillance and ensure a smooth immersion process across the city’s water bodies.
