Andhra Pradesh: Sweeper performs delivery on woman; baby dies

In Kakinada district, a newborn’s death at a community health center sparked protests after allegations that a sanitary worker performed the delivery. Family members claimed negligence, while health officials denied the worker delivered the baby. An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death, attributed to meconium aspiration syndrome.
