One such actress is Zareen Khan, who made her debut alongside Salman Khan in the film Veer. On her entry in Bollywood, Zareen was compared to Katrina Kaif. Her striking similar facial feature with 'Tiger Zinda Hai' actress brought her in immense limelight and it was believed that she could be the next superstar. However, fate had some ugly twist for her. Instead of getting more and more work, Zareen was struggling to get good projects. 'Things within the industry kept getting worse' In a conversation with Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya on their podcast show, Zareen shared that after 'Veer' her life in the industry became troublesome as she received a lot of criticism. She said, ''The film was a life-changing moment for me. Initially, I felt very happy that I was being compared to Katrina Kaif, but within the industry, things kept getting worse. For me, being compared to Katrina was huge, but it all backfired. I felt like a lost child in the industry. I didn’t know most people here but they started to feel I was arrogant because Salman Khan launched me.'' 'They saw me as a failure' Zareen also revealed that due to so much criticism she felt lack of confidence and she considered staying at home to avoid the noise. She shared, ''there was a time I was even sacred to step out of my house because people would comment on my clothes. That comparison went in a very negative way. They all saw me as a failure.'' 'Character Dheela' song proved to be a turning point The actress also shared that it was only after her song 'Character Dheela' came out, things began to change. Not just her chemistry with Salman Khan was appreciated but people loved her dance too. Though, Zareen was still struggling with good projects, she took 'Hate Story' project saying this film was here necessity as that was the weird time of her life.Original Article
