Bought for Rs 90,000, sold as IVF baby for Rs 35 lakh; how clinic gave away newborns

Hyderabad police uncovered a surrogacy scam at Universal Srushti Fertility Centre, arresting eight individuals, including Dr. Athaluri Namratha, for allegedly selling infants to couples under the guise of IVF. The clinic, operating without a valid license since 2021, deceived a couple who paid Rs 35 lakh, providing them with a baby unrelated to them.
