Seven Israeli soldiers were killed in a devastating ambush just hours after the Iran–Israel ceasefire took effect. According to an IDF probe, a Palestinian militant planted an explosive device on their armored Puma vehicle as it moved through Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The blast ignited the vehicle, trapping the soldiers inside as fire engulfed it. Efforts to extinguish the flames failed, and all aboard perished. The charred remains of the vehicle were later recovered and towed out of Gaza. All seven served in the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion. Israel has launched an investigation into the deadly incident, which marks one of the worst losses for the IDF in recent months. The names of six soldiers have been released; the seventh is expected to be named soon.#IDF #Israel #gazastrip #netanyahu #khanyounis #gaza
