Captain Manjinder Singh Bhinder, an accomplished equestrian from the 61st Cavalry, tragically died a hero during the Uphaar Cinema fire in 1997. The brave officer saved over 150 lives, repeatedly entering the burning building. Bhinder, only 29, was watching a movie with his pregnant wife and son, who also perished in the aftermath.
