Former England soccer captain David Beckham has been honoured with knighthood, a moment his fans long-awaited. Beckham was knighted in King Charles III’s birthday honours list. The 50-year-old received honour for his services to sports and to charity. As well as representing England 115 times, including 59 times as captain, Beckham played for some of Europe’s most venerable clubs, most notably Manchester United and Real Madrid. Honour comes at a time when the Beckhams are rumoured to be embroiled in family feud. Parallels are being drawn between Beckham family and royal family over alleged respective tensions. Watch-
