Delhi schools open conversation on periods – for boys too

Delhi government schools will initiate menstrual hygiene sessions for both girls and boys, starting in the 2025-26 academic year. Girls will receive education and sanitary pads, while boys will undergo sensitisation to dispel taboos. The initiative, led by Young FICCI Ladies Organisation and Ujaas, aims to reach 18,000 students initially, with strict conditions to protect student privacy and avoid disruptions.
