A viral video has spotlighted the narrow footpath on a section of Andheri’s newly commissioned Gokhale bridge, sparking criticism of its design. The BMC defended the design, stating that only a portion of the footpath is narrow and remains usable. The bridge, which reopened in May after a collapse in 2018 and subsequent closure for structural repairs, cost ₹111 crore.
